Heritage Building - Adaptive Reuse

The roof and first floor of this 150 years old heritage building were repaired, restored, and redesigned into a guest house (proposed) for organisation members.

As architects, we were thrilled to have taken on the challenge of rejuvenating and enhancing the building for our organization's members. The project entailed two critical components: repairing and restoring the roof, and redesigning the first floor into a charming guest house.

In the initial phase, we meticulously assessed the roof's condition, identifying areas of damage, leaks, and structural weaknesses. Drawing upon our expertise in architectural engineering, we developed a comprehensive plan to address these issues, ensuring the roof not only regained its integrity but also withstood the test of time.

Simultaneously, our creative minds were buzzing with ideas for transforming the first floor into a delightful guest house. We envisioned a space that seamlessly blended comfort, functionality, and aesthetic appeal. Through thoughtful spatial planning and innovative design concepts, we crafted inviting living quarters where members could retreat, unwind, and forge connections.

Every aspect of the guest house's design was carefully considered, from the layout and flow of the space to the selection of materials and furnishings. Our goal was to create an ambiance that exuded warmth and hospitality, making guests feel right at home from the moment they stepped inside.

Moreover, sustainability was at the forefront of our design approach. We explored eco-friendly building practices, such as incorporating renewable materials and energy-efficient systems, to minimize our environmental footprint and promote a healthier living environment.

As architects, we were excited to have embarked on this journey of transformation, infusing the building with renewed vitality and purpose. Our dedication to excellence, innovation, and client satisfaction ensured that the end result not only met but exceeded the expectations of our organization and its members.
